The challenges Pakistan is facing in terms of unemployment and limited access to business financing is deeply troubling the youth on an entrepreneurial level. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has detected the deep-rooted cause of the crisis which is the lack of quality training and insufficient funding for the new ideas that can turn into great startups. In this connection the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is launching youth cluster soft loan entrepreneurship program (YCSLEP), called Ehsaas Naujawan Programme Youth Loan Scheme.

The Sports & Youth Affairs Department with the leadership of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur is all set to address the issues by the launch of Ehsaas Naujawan entrepreneurship program, Youth Cluster Soft Loan Entrepreneurship Program YCSLEP 2024. This programme is a breakthrough initiative taken to empower youth, probably successful future entrepreneurs. This program provides an easy loan application process also.
The Ehsaas Naujawan Programme or Ihsaas Nawjawan is a positive step taken towards the socio-economic development of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. this programme is also aimed to achieve some clear objectives such as:
The budget for this scheme is set at PKR 3 billion for now under which young aged between 18-35 years will be funded on the basis of interest-free loan. With this huge amount of money, CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced that he aims to transform the province’s economic landscape by empowering youth so that they can contribute to KP’s economic development. Mainly the marginalized groups such as women, minorities and the disabled will be prioritized to curve out the hidden potential in the province who can contribute to economic development.
The process of applying for the Ehsaas Naujawan Programme (interest-free loans) is simple and easy. However, you need to check the eligibility criteria before applying. How to Apply?
Since the programme is funded through two components BANK OF KHYBER and Akhuwat Islamic Microfinance so the age requirements for both of them are different. Both the components are discussed in detail later in this article. Just keep reading for the complete information.

Eligibility Check: before applying make sure you meet the age and residency requirements for the program.
Submit a Viable Business Plan: once you fit in the eligibility check, create a detailed business plan outline of your business idea, goals, and projected outcomes.make a complete and detailed proposal of it.
Online Application Portal: Submit your application with a complete business plan via the programâs online portal. Your application will be streamlined through the portal and loan disbursements.
Partner Assessment: Depending on the loan type, either Bank of Khyber (BOK) or Akhuwat Islamic Microfinance will review your application.
Approval and Disbursement: Upon approval, the respective partner will disburse the loan based on the selected financing component.
Bank Of Khyber (BOK) loans have an 8-year repayment term with a 20-month grace period, while Akhuwat loans offer similarly flexible terms based on Shariah-compliant structures. The disbursed amount will be distributed among new applicants.
